Errol Willett developed his three-lobed bowl forms by starting out with a three-lobed bowl mold. He didn't know exactly where he wanted to go with these forms until getting the three-part base of the forms "up in space." Once he had the base in place, he was able to envision the beautiful and unique form he makes today. 

Of course it took a lot of trial and error to get there. Along the way he developed a lot of tricks to streamline the process.
