The Bascom, a nonprofit art center in Highlands, NC is home to exhibition spaces, classrooms, a retail shop, nature trail, and a full ceramics program. Housed in a charming, reconstructed barn on a six-acre pastoral campus, The Bascom’s ceramics program offers a range of classes for all ages, engaging artist talks, and the popular Open Studio Program. A newly dedicated 22 cubic foot soda kiln allows artists to deepen their practice with atmospheric firing.
