In this 2-hour demonstration workshop, Meghan Yarnell will show you how to bring digital design tools into your ceramics practice to create a variety of surface decorations! Meghan will present an introduction into the Procreate drawing app and Cricut electronic cutting machine to help you create precise, repeatable, and stunning surfaces. Plus she will show you how to add vibrant color using accessible and reliable commercial products—no complicated glaze testing required!

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate (but Beginners will find plenty of inspiration too!)

In this webinar, You'll learn how to:
  • Sketch and design in Procreate, then cut your designs into a variety of materials using a Cricut digital cutter
  • Cut vinyl, paper, and craft-foam stencils for clean, detailed, and repeatable surface decorations
  • Use your Procreate drawings to decorate your work in four distinct ways: inlay, paper stencil, foam stencil, and water etching
  • Use both commercial glazes and underglazes at the leather-hard stage to add bold, beautiful color to your designs
  • Combine techniques to build complex, professional-looking decorative effects
