In this 2-hour demonstration workshop, Taylor Mezo will share how she creates dynamic, repeatable vessels using slabs and templates! Working with medium leather-hard slabs, Taylor will cover the full process from concept to finished form, including rolling and compressing slabs, managing drying times, and cutting precise miter angles that help you create strong joints. You'll learn how to draw inspiration from everyday objects to create your own custom templates. You'll also pick up techniques for stamped patterning to add visual detail. Students will leave with the confidence to create their own forms through their own individually designed paper templates!
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate (but Beginners will find plenty of inspiration too!)
