Dive into Beth Harden’s process for creating richly carved, illustrative surfaces that transform functional pottery into bright, tactile pieces. In this 2-hour demonstration workshop, Beth shares how she transforms leather-hard mugs into layered, textural work using her favorite carving tools, underglazes, and glaze combinations. Beth breaks down her approach to surface planning, designing for curved form, carving for depth and movement, and making intentional color choices that elevate the finished piece.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate (but Beginners will find plenty of inspiration too!)

In this webinar, You'll learn how to:
  • Convert photos into usable stencils to layer onto your work
  • Use carving tools to create crisp line work, depth, and dimension
  • Layer underglazes for strong contrast and visual impact
  • Pair glazes to enhance carved surfaces
    And much more!
