Darting pots is a fantastic way to make shapes more interesting, but it can be pretty intimidating to cut into a pot if you are new to darting. That's why I loved Taylor Sijan's explanation of darting in her video Thrown, Handbuilt, & Sculpted: Combining Techniques for Truly Unique Mugs. Taylor does such a good job of explaining how she makes the cut and joins it back together again. Watching this clip will surely alleviate any darting anxiety you might have! – Jennifer Poellot Harnetty, editor
