of Maryland based BIPOC artists. Awarded to an artist who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color. Must be a resident of Maryland for at least 1 year prior to application submission date. Residency includes: private 10×12-foot
workspace, 24-hour key access to facilities, and use of studio equipment. Stipend: $500 materials/firing stipend. Opportunities and responsibilities: solo exhibition in our solo gallery, teaching, gallery sales, and special-event opportunities. Spend

Artist In Residence at Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard

Ceramic Artist Residency

Summer Ceramic Technician

The Bascom’s Dave Drake Studio Barn Teaching Resident Artist Clay Program
Duration: Three months during the summer; start and end dates flexible. Application Deadline: Ongoing. Fee includes: resident artist will have a dedicated work area in the studio, and will also share some of the duties
of maintaining the studio, including loading/unloading, mixing glaze, and other studio upkeep. For their own artistic production, the resident artist will receive 250 pounds of studio clay per month, glazing and firing. Opportunity to sell work in

Pre-Columbian Ceramics Instructional Residency–Cusco, Peru
Duration: 5 weeks, extendable; residency dates not predetermined but are proposed by the artist and mutually decided. Application Deadline: see website. Application fee: $35 (USD) donation to youth music scholarship fund. Eligibility requirements: national and international artists at least 20 years of age. Residency fees: $662 (USD) per week; partial tuition-reduction option offered. Fees include: 36 hours local master instruction; private bedroom; meals; 24/7 access to stocked kitchen; utilities; Wi-Fi; housekeeping; project guidance, critique by staff; 24/7 studio space; ceramics materials/supplies; assistance with kiln and firings. No stipend. Opportunities: hands-on instruction with diverse clay bodies from the region of Cusco. Instruction is focused on learning and experimentation with traditional techniques including burnishing, clay slips, pressing techniques, and traditional carvings. Barcelona Ceramics and Visual Artist Residency
Duration: 1–2 months. Application Deadline: Ongoing, submissions jury reviewed every 8 weeks. No application fee. Eligibility requirements: emerging, mid-career and older ceramic artists. Residency fees: $1600 per month. Fees include: materials, studio space, lodging in downtown Barcelona, and orientation. Firings available for a fee. No stipend. Opportunities and responsibilities: teaching workshop, sell work in gallery shop, community presentation of your work. Personal studio and lodging area upkeep.
