Early Career Artist Residencies
Duration: September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. Application Deadline: March 31, 5pm CT. No application fee. Eligibility requirements: eligibility is restricted to clay artists who have completed all formal academic
training by the start of the grant period (September 1, 2024), who are not currently enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-granting institution, and who are not employed full-time as a ceramics teacher at the college level. Please note: a college
degree is not required to apply for this or any NCC award. No residency fees. Stipend: yes. Stipend includes: materials and firings. Opportunities and responsibilities: exhibition, professional development, possible teaching opportunity.
Duration: 6 weeks; approximately January 29–March 8. Application Deadline: April 15. No application fee. Eligibility requirements: Must not be enrolled as a student; BIOPOC and LGBQ artists are
encouraged to apply. Resident must pay for own travel, materials, and cost of living not covered by stipend. Resident must provide own transportation and cost of living expenses. Stipend: $1200. Opportunities and responsibilities: The resident will provide a public lecture (artist talk), meet with each of our senior art majors for a studio visit (typically 30 minute meetings with 12–16 students), and present the results of the residency during an Open Studio at conclusion of the residency. The Bascom’s Dave Drake Studio Barn Teaching Resident Artist Clay Program
