Andrew Gilliatt grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Tech in 2003. Later, he was a resident artist at Red Star Studios in Kansas City, Missouri. In the spring of 2011, Andrew earned his MFA in Ceramics from Louisiana State University. After graduation he moved to Helena, Montana, to do a summer residency at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts. This was followed by a year-long residency at Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge, Montana. Andrew is currently a long-term resident at the Archie Bray Foundation.
