If you build pots with slabs, making templates for your forms can be a great way to have consistency throughout your work. But sometimes it can be hard to come up with a template. You can build a pot and then cut it apart to figure out the shape of the template, but that can be time consuming.

In today's post, an excerpt from his new video Creating Custom Texture with Electronic Cutting Machines, Jeremy Randall shares a fantastic tool he found online that takes the guesswork and time out of generating templates. With this tool it is possible to generate a PDF of a template in seconds, and then cut it in tar paper using a Cricut® cutter. Even if you don't have a Cricut®, this tip will save you tons of time and hassle! -Jennifer Poellot Harnetty, editor
