In this demonstration, Doug Peltzman shows how he makes plates on the potter's wheel using a plaster hump mold. This method allows him to make multiple plates of uniform size and shape with very little clay waste. Because all of the plates have the same curve from the hump mold, they stack beautifully. He rounds out the presentation with his decorative process using slip inlay with wax.

Total runtime: Approximately 35 minutes
