Original recipe from Todd Piker’s Cornwall Bridge Pottery. It can be used in once firing, but is more consistent and works best when applied to bisque ware. I use this glaze the most because I can apply any brushwork (cobalt, iron, rutile pigments, and commercial encapsulated stains) directly on the glaze. Note: Firing range for the blue color variation is cone 9–12. This blue glaze works best over white slip. It runs if it gets too hot, so we don’t put it in the front half of chamber 1 in the wood kiln.

This recipe was shared by Naysan McIlhargey in the June/July/August 2023 issue of Ceramics Monthly.
