Instructions

The calcium I use is gathered from the spring of the Lajas River, which is 4.3 miles (7 km) away from my studio. The water here is extremely hard and the slow flowing springs start depositing layers of what I can only guess is primarily calcium but it works great as a flux in glazes. This glaze is best when sprayed on and fired in a slow-cool cone-6 electric firing; or quick dipped, wax resist patterns added, and dipped again.
