Use the same firing cycle as for cone 10 gas reduction, but simply stop it at cone 6/7.

You can substitute 1.5% strontium carbonate for the barium carbonate if you prefer.

Note: Synthetic red iron oxide is 96-99% pure red iron, made by calcining black iron oxide in oxidation. It is then milled to 325 mesh, which makes it ideal for celadons, because it will enter the melt more quickly and thoroughly. For more, see "All About Iron, page 14, March 2011 CM.
