This slip performs best when applied to leather-hard clay. It works well with sgraffito techniques. The bentonite is added to the base kaolin to help prevent the slip from flaking off.
Mix all dry ingredients together, then add enough water to make a slip that’s the consistency of cream. Pour the slip through a sieve once or twice to remove any lumps.
