Published in "Casting Slip & Glazes," in the May 2016 issue of Ceramics Monthly, page 88.
The recipe was designed to use a whole bag of Grolleg Kaolin when converting the percentages to pounds.
Start with the water and a little of the Darvan, then mix each of the remaining ingredients into the water in order of particle size. It is ideal to use a large mixer like a Shar, so you can add materials and mix, but I just use a drill with a large mixing head. Add in the remaining Darvan at the end until the slip is the desired consistency. For a cone 10 slip, substitute Custer feldspar for the nepheline syenite.
