This is an off-white breaking glaze that ceramic artist Eva Champagne shared with me, although she doesn’t remember its origins. It is easy to work with. I use a thin application and mostly apply by dipping or pouring. The glaze interacts wonderfully with line carving and with the clay I use, Red Star, a stoneware made by Alligator Clay Company in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I fire this glaze to cone 5 with a hold.
