Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Borax (in parts) 1.00
Water (in parts) 6.00

Instructions

Mix borax with lukewarm water to aid in dissolving it into solution. Apply a thin layer to bisque ware using a brush. I apply this to the exterior of my work, over the bisque-fired terra sigillata surface. Note: The wash will still have undissolved borax, which gives it a speckled quality when fired.
