This underglaze is very versatile. I have used it at cone 04 in oxidation and cone 12 in reduction. However, it works best for wood firing between cone 10–12 in reduction. I blunge this mixture with an immersion blender with water to the desired thickness for my brushwork. If directly hit with fly ash in the wood kiln, it can turn blue.
