Studio Description:
Most of my work is done at my home studio overlooking the Occoquan River in Virginia. My finished pieces are on display at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia where I am able to meet with the public and customers and explain the process of firing with horsehair and other alternative firing processes. I have been working with clay and alternative firing such as Raku, pit firing and firing with horsehair for over 20 years. My work has been featured in Schiffer’s 2010 publication “Ceramics Today” and in the Potters Council 2011 “Alternative Firing” Calendar (cover) and the 2013 “Animal” calendar.
