Studio Description:
Sutherlin Santo is a research-driven design workshop operated by Garrett and Paul Sutherlin Santo and based in Los Angeles, California. The studio seeks to project a future where design’s connection to nature and technology are symmetrical with work that explores the relationship of emerging digital processes, ecologically engaged materials, and traditional craft like ceramics. Sutherlin Santo strives to utilize new methods of fabrication to best execute its work, often updating traditional ceramic techniques with new digital technologies such as using robots to build in clay.
