Contact Information: I grew up in a family that creates with their hands, painters and illustrators, wood carvers and furniture makers, mechanics and quilt makers and me, the potter. My first and greatest influence were the women that worked with fabric, my mom and my Grandma Kerr. I cut slabs and decorate them with rolled, stamped and sprigged patterns. I cut and piece my vessels together like a 3-dimensional quilt. I apply colored slips and glazes before and after bisque firing to emphasize the stamped patterns. All pots are glazed with food safe glazes. I usually begin a series of pots with a small teapot, working towards a group of large, functional teapots and serving pieces. I can be contacted by email or by phone (913)384-1718.

Studio Description: I have a small, part-time, one person pottery located 5 minutes from the Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City. I have had work in the 2002 Orton Cone Box Show, '100 Teapots 2' in Baltimore, Brookside Art Annual and the Smokey Hills Exhibit in Hays, Kansas. I also had new work in 'Gigantic', the 'International Teapot Show' and in California and 'Vitrified Clay National' in Texas. I also sell at many local fairs within 250 miles of Kansas City.
