Studio Description: Troy has been a full time ceramist since 1994; currently dividing his time between making 1/12” scale miniature pottery, functional life-size pottery, and teaching beginning ceramics.

In detailed miniature, Troy creates replicas of historic ceramic styles as well as modern art for miniature museums and collectors. Collections of his miniature work can be found on each continent around the world.

His functional life-size pottery consists of a line of Celtic inspired mugs, trivets, plates, and other ware decorated with ancient Celtic designs in addition to his most recent explorations.

Troy began teaching beginning pottery in 1997. Through introducing new students to the grandeurs of clay, Troy finds that working with clay remains new and exciting. He also enjoys experimenting and exploring glaze types and firing techniques, creating unusual textures and classic forms.
