Studio Description:
Inside an old creamery which has been renovated since 1970 into studios for myself and others.
What type of clay do you use?
Earthenware mostly.
What temperature do you fire to?
1900F.
What is your primary forming method?
Handbuilding.
What is your favorite surface treatment?
Reticulated glazes.
What one word would you use to describe your work?
Surreal.
What is your favorite thing about your studio?
Lots of space.
What is the one thing in your studio you can’t live without?
Slab roller.
What did you first piece look like?
A spigot sprouting from a heart.
What ceramic superpower would you have and why?
Unbelievable energy.
Why do you create art?
I always have and always will. Not sure exactly why perhaps it was just meant to be.
What is your best studio tip?
Believe in yourself.
If you could change one property of clay, what would it be?
It would always be absolutely perfect.
