Artist Statement
My fascination with clay started when I was a child, digging up San Francisco Bay mud and creating pinch pots which I dried in the sun to get hard. When I was 14, I discovered the Potter's Wheel, and began my journey of exploring the 3 dimensionality of clay and what it does for my soul. After 50 plus years in mud, it has become fresher and more exciting than ever with challenging my mind exploring shapes and new glazing techniques. All of my work is either hand thrown or handbuilt and I fire mid-range, cone 5/6 electric oxidation. Welcome to my party of life!
