Artist Statement
My sculptures and vessels are intuitive, organic, fluid, speaking for me in symbols, colors, texture and patterns. I have always been drawn to animals and nature, and I suddenly find myself drawing images, making up amusing stories in my head as I work.
Studio Description
My studio is my sanctuary filled with all kinds of stuff. It's mostly an organized mess, a space for work and play.

Handbuilding and throwing

Playful
What is your favorite thing about your studio?
The light
What is the one thing in your studio you can’t live without?
Clay
What are your top three studio wishes?
1) A drying room
2) A separate room for the kiln
3) A view of the mountains
What’s on your current reading list?
Pachinka (I love historic novels.)
How do you save money on materials and supplies?
I reclaim my clay, am cautious with materials when measuring and mixing glazes.
How do you recharge creatively?
By spending time in nature, and Yoga
Do you have any DIY tips for studio efficiency?
Sorry but no.
What challenges have you given yourself to overcome?
Throwing consistent and even walls.
Making more comfortable handles for my mugs.
Allowing myself to give in to my mistakes and work with them.
What did you first piece look like?
It's too long ago for me to remember.
What ceramic superpower would you have and why?
Being able to throw any shape or size because, well, imagine the possibilities!
Who is your ceramic art mentor and why?
Sam Harvey because he makes me think and challenges my ideas

I listen to Radio Paradise on Tune In Radio - it's fantastic!
Why do you create art?
I can't remember not creating art.
Its a release and a way to express myself that doesn't happen in words.
What is your best studio tip?
If you feel good in your space, you can overcome anything.
If you could change one property of clay, what would it be?
Why would I do that?
