Artist Statement
As a teacher of Fine Arts I was teaching eight years. In 1984 I opened my own studio in Meppen, Germany. My whole life I was impressed with geometric
forms, shapes, and designs. So I built up globes or globe segments with stoneware, very large forms in plaster molds. Then I scratch the surface, and after burning follows the painting with Engobe.
Today I am happy that my ceramic art finds acceptance in competitions such as an Honorable Mention Winner, World Ceramic Biennale, South Korea, International Festival 2005 Japan, and Westerwaldpreis 2015–Keramik Europas, Germany.
