Join the International Ceramic Artists Network (ICAN) today, the premiere organization for ceramic artists!
Special Charter Membership offer—everything you need to become the best ceramic artist you can be!
Dear Fellow Ceramic Artist,
If you’ve landed on this page, there’s a good chance that you’re a clay nerd like me. The clay studio is your happy place. You get excited when you find something lying about that would make a cool texture on a pot. You prefer to have kitchen cabinets filled with colorful mismatched dishes, rather than a sea of white from your local big-box store. If you can relate to any of this, I invite you to become a part of the International Ceramic Artists Network (ICAN)!
Originally established as Potters Council in 2000 as part of a grass-roots movement, ICAN today is a membership organization focused on serving the ceramic arts community. Made up of clay nerds like you and me from 33 countries (and growing!), ICAN provides a platform for on-going skill building and idea sharing through face-to-face workshops as well as video instruction. ICAN also offers a forum through which ceramic artists worldwide can promote themselves and network with other artists within a like-minded group. An important part of our mission is to actively support the ceramic arts through community outreach, artist awards and recognition, and charity initiatives.
Together, we are hobbyists, professional ceramic artists, educators, and students—all who love to exchange tips and techniques and ideas about how art and life intersect to help shape and influence each other. Not a member already? Join us and take advantage of our charter membership offer!

- “I found the trip inspirational and informative. I learned something new from each visit and workshop and enjoyed the ongoing conversations with other potters on the trip. It really was nice to meet other potters from all over the world and be able to share experiences and observations as we visited an incredibly beautiful Ireland.”

- “We went on Tuscany III, and this was our second tour with the Potters Council. Touring the world with the Potters Council is our go-to choice for excellence in planning, lots of bang for our buck, fabulous itineraries, delightful growth in our ceramic education, and feeling safe!”
