Sights & Ceramics: Richmond, Virginia

In this episode of Sights & Ceramics, we travel to Richmond, Virginia, and talk with members of its vibrant clay community. In part 1, we visit Richmond Clayworks, Rosewood Pottery, Hand Thrown, and Shockoe Bottom Clay, all participants in the Richmond Pottery Tour. Part 2 features a visit to 43 Street Gallery, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts ceramics collections, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Craft and Materials Studies Department, and the Richmond Visual Arts Center. We also include a smattering of restaurant recommendations from the local artists we interviewed! (we tried a bunch of these restaurants and can vouch for Richmond’s great  food scene!)

Runtime: Approximately 45 minutes
