From the Studio to the Kitchen with Didem Mert
In this video, Didem Mert shares her handbuilding techniques for three of her signature forms, as well as her bone-dry decorating with terra sigillata, underglazes and slips. Then, she heads to the kitchen and shares two of her favorite recipes to serve from her pots. Yum!

About the Artist
Didem Mert was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned a BFA in ceramics from Northern Kentucky Uni-versity in 2014, and an MFA in ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Didem has exhibited nationally and has been published in Ceramics Monthly and Architectural Digest, and was featured on the cover of Pottery Making Illustrated. Didem is currently a studio artist and an instructor at Queen City Clay and Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center in Cincinnati.
