Self-Glazing Slip

Firing temperature : Cone 6 | Surface texture : satin to glossy | Color : various | Atmosphere: Oxidation/Neutral Reduction

Published in the May 2018 issue of Ceramics Monthly. This recipe is from Val Cushing’s Handbook. He states that this can also be used as a clay body with 1–2% bentonite added. The slip takes colorants well, and glaze can be applied on top of the slip.
