Linda’s Yellow Slip

Firing temperature : cone 10 | Surface texture : glossy to satin | Color : yellow | Atmosphere: Reduction Wood

Instructions

Mix this slip to skim milk consistency. Apply a very this coat to bisque-fired ware to prevent adhesion issues. The fired color range is bright yellow to orange brown. I use this slip on pieces placed throughout the wood kiln. I tend to put slipped pieces in areas where there will be more ash, and glazes pieces in cooler parts of the kiln with less ash exposure.
